We are ready to announce the Constitutional Convention of the Independent Labor Club of New York City! It is planned for Saturday October 18, 2-7pm for the main event. Details and flyer TBA, but here is what we have to share now:
● The meeting will be for the ratification of the constitution followed by the first General Assembly (GA) of the ILC.
● The General Assembly of the ILC of NYC will consist of an election to the chapter Executive Council, all are welcome to run and make their case for a vote on their behalf.
● The proposed documents to be ratified will be distributed soon, there will be time at the convention for debate and discussion on the documents.
● All amendments and proposals to the constitution and for the General Assembly will be accepted for discussion during the convention up to Saturday October 4. This is to ensure we can plan enough time for everyone.
